In fact, we have only featured one example before, a one-bedroom apartment back in 2014. Which perhaps suggests people move in, then rarely move out.

If you love iconic architecture, you perhaps don’t want to leave this building, as it is perhaps the end goal. One of the most notable modern movement constructions in the UK, it was built to a design by Wells Coates back in 1934 and the first block to be built primarily from reinforced concrete.

Oh yes, previous residents have included Agatha Christie, Marcel Breuer and Walter Gropius. Great names to drop at your first party or dinner party here.

Renovated back to its best in 2004, the building now shines, as does this apartment, even if space is rather modest. On the plus side, this looks as impressive inside as the building does from the outside.

A stylish and understated design pays tribute to the original era without being a part of it. I think the word that comes to mind is ‘classic’. The predominantly white finish seems to enhance the light and the space too.

Talking of space, that’s pretty much made up of the open plan reception / bedroom, a separate kitchen and a bathroom. Areas of the reception are split off, but this is essentially one room. The third floor apartment also comes with a private balcony overlooking a nature reserve and plenty of storage space.

Despite the size, the location and the building mean this doesn’t come cheap. The asking price to live in the Isokon is £535,000.
