Always good to see one of these on the market. Although this four-bedroom Huf Haus on the Wentworth Estate, Virginia Water, Surrey is probably out of reach for most of us.
Virginia Water is said to be the most expensive place outside of London to buy a house, with average house prices well past the million mark. Throw in some modernist architecture and you are looking at affluence or a Lotto win.
But that doesn’t stop us admiring the house in question.
It’s a Huf Haus, designed and manufactured in Germany, then built by the maker’s team of expert tradesmen wherever it is required. In this case, on the Wentworth Estate. This is the only ‘Huf’ in this area.
The finished properties are distinctive, but at the same time incredibly familiar. There’s a look here, although as each one is made to the buyer’s own requirements, all of the finished houses differ slightly.
This one has all the beams and glazing you would expect, as well as a good amount of living space within.
The ground floor accommodation is made up of a ‘very spacious’ entrance hall, open plan kitchen / dining area, sitting room, study / playroom, utility room, guest bedroom, shower room and cloakroom.
A galleried first floor landing leads onto the master bedroom suite with dressing room, balcony and bathroom, as well as two further bedrooms with ‘Jack and Jill’ shower room.
As for the outside, the house is approached via an electrically operated sliding gate and a brick paved driveway which leads to the detached double garage, with a decked area with a garden seat attached to it. You also get a rear garden with sun terrace and lawn plus mature shrubs, trees and hedging.
If you want to get out, the Wentworth Estate has three 18 hole championship golf courses, a 9 hole executive course and the Wentworth Club with swimming pool, restaurants, tennis courts and leisure club. The village’s local shops, restaurants and mainline station aren’t too far either.
As we said, this is a pricey area, with the Huf Haus here on for £2,295,000.
